The 9 hole 'Academy Course' at Slinfold has undergone a recent massive facelift and redevelopment. Five of the nine holes opened to members and visitors in August 2016, with the remaining 4 holes opening in June 2017.
The course offers one of the best short game experiences in the South East. With a wide variety of hazards and an undulating topography, the course also benefits from the very latest Astroturf technologies. This means all tees present perfect playing surfaces throughout the year.
The Academy Course has been specifically designed to offer golfers an alternative, and addition, to our existing mature 18 hole golf course, and to compliment use of the Driving Range to provide an all round golfing experience at the Club. The course, nestled sympathetically within the landscape at the entrance to the Club has two well established lakes and a beautiful vista to the surrounding Sussex countryside. The undulations in the course makes for a challenging and unusual environment that tests golfers with a handicap whilst giving the novice golfer an introduction to playing prior to venturing onto the 18 hole course.
