Despite a narrow 3½ - 2½ loss in the away leg on Sunday, Slinfold’s winning performance in the home fixture ensured they held on to the cup. The match was played in a fantastic spirit, with several games going right down to the final holes. The outcome hinged on the last pairing, where Slinfold needed a win to secure the overall draw and retain the trophy — a result they managed.
