Slinfold Men win at home against Mid Sussex 3½ - 2½

Slinfold Men played Mid Sussex at home on Saturday 7th June winning 3½ - 2½ on the day. 

There were some very close matches, played in a great friendly spirit and thankfully we escaped the predicted rain. 

As the first half of the Friendly Cup, Slinfold will take this lead into the return match at Mid Sussex in September. 

As always, our thanks go to the Slinfold F&B team who looked after us in the bar, providing bacon rolls for breakfast and sandwiches and chips after the match.

My thanks go to Clive who captained us on the day to a good victory.
