Jan's Trophy Winners 2018/19

The final of the Jan’s Trophy (Ladies & Seniors) Chapman Greensomes competition was played in great spirit on a bright and sunny March day between Andy and Sue Puttock and Philip and Heather Munday, who received 18 strokes.

The match was very tight over the first few holes with good scoring and both pairs getting some solid pars but, playing very steady golf Philip and Heather were soon 3 holes up. With further pars Andy and Sue pulled back to 1 down by the 11th hole but Philip and Heather then rallied with very good play, particularly an excellent approach shot on the 13th from Philip for another par, and they won 4 holes on the trot running out very worthy winners at 5 and 4.

A great final very much enjoyed by both pairs and well deserved congratulations to Philip and Heather.
